In The name of God Amen
I James Blatt Cittizen and Draper of London being at present Crazy
in Body But of good sound perfect and disposeing mind and memory

(Praysed be Almighty God for the same) Considering with mys elfe: the
great uncertainty of this Transitory life And that as nothing is more
certaine than death but nothing is more uncertaine than the tyme when
Doe (for prevention of all or any differences Disputes or Controversies on,
which may happen after my decease concerning my Estste) amke ordaine
publish and declare this my last will and Testament in manner following
(That is to say) First I commend my soule into the hands of Almighty God
my onely maker and Creator hopeing assuredly through the alone meritts
of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ To be made partaker of
Everlasting happines And my body I Committ to the Earth from whence it
came To be decently buried But as frugally as may be by my Executors
hereafter named. And as touching such wordly goods and estate which
it hath pleased the Lord to blesse me me (sic) with and me a disposer of And
which I shall happen to dye possessed of or Interested in I doe gicve devise
settle and dispose of the same as followeth(That is to say) First I doe
will order and appoint That the Charges of my ffunerall The charges of
Proving this my will and of the appraysing Inventarying and Exhibiting
the Inventary of my Estate And all other Charges thereunto incident
together with all such debts and summes of money as I shall Justly owe or
be indebted att the tyme of my decease shalbe ffirst satisfied paid and allowed
And the residue and cleere Remainder of my goods Chattells and EWstate
whatsoever which then shalbe and remaine I doe give devise and be=
queath as followeth (That is to say) First: I doe give and bequeath
To my sonne William Blatt the summe of ffifteen hundred pounds of
lawfull money of England To be paid to him with the Interest and im=
[?pronement] of the same att his age of one and Twenty yeares if hee
shall live to attaine that age And in case of his decease before that tyme
Then I doe will and devise the same and every part thereof To my daughters
Elizabeth Blatt and Anna Blatt and the survivor of them Item I give
and bequeath To my said daughter Elizabeth Blatt the summe of one
Thousand pounds of like money in Liew discharge and full satisfaction
of all such part and share of my Estate as she by the Custome of London
or otherwise can may or ought to have or clayme.Item I give and
bequeath to my said daughter Anna Blatt the summe of one Thousand
pounds of like money to be paid to her with the Interest and impron
ment of the same within six months after the day of her marriage
or att her age of one and Twenty yeares if shee shall live to attaine that
age which shall ffirst happen In Liew discharge and full satisfaction
of all such part and share of my Estate as she by the Custom of London
or otherwise can may or ought to have or clayme And in case of her de=
cease before that tyme I doe will and devise the same and every part
thereof To my said sonne William Blatt and daughter Elizabeth Blatt
and the Survivor of them And my will and mind is That she my said
daughter Anna shall have and enjoy The one ffourth part of the Messu=
ages lands and Tenements known by the name of Say[XX] hall and Trotts
ying and being in the parish of Newton in the County of Suffolk accor
ding to the settlement by me and her late mother my wife made Item
I give and bequeath To my mother in Law Mrs Anne Gunton To my
sisters Elizabeth Edwards To Edward Cooke Salter James Onkes draper
Robert Conyers Thomas ffullen, James Blatt of Barking, John Blatt of
London Mr Mathew Barker To Jane the wife of William Dunn To my

Neece Elizabeth wybourne To my apprentice Joseph Ray and to Susan
Sadler my now Servant And to each and every of them ffive pounds a
peece of Lawfull money of England To be paid to them Respectively Six
moneths next after my decease if liveing And in case any of them shall
happen to dye within that tyme Then the Legacie and Legacies of ffive pounds
of him her and them soe dyeing shall fall and come to my Children And the
Survivors and Survivor of them And be devided amongst them equally Item
I give and bequeath To the Churchwardens of thee parish of Saint Peters
Cornehill London where I now live the summe of ffive pounds To be by them dis=
tributed amongst the poore of the same parish And to my Brother
Samuell hasell and william hasell the summe of ffive pounds To be by
them distributed amongst the poore of Sudbury in the County of Suff[olke]
Item I give and bequeath to my said daughter Elizabeth Blatt one silver
lawdle (sic) Cupp and Porringer Cover to it And such other peice of Plate
of myne as shee shall make Choyce of And all such Rings, Jewells Plate
apparell Childbed Lynnen Mantles and other things That were her owne Mo=
thers my ffirst wife deceased or that were given her by my late sonne James
Blatt deceased or that I have given or delivered to her Item I give and
bequeath to my said daughter Anna Blatt All such Rings, Jewells braceletts
and other things That her late mother my late and last wife did usually
weare And which I have had by for her my said daughter in my [?straystoff]
Chest Item I give and bequeath To my worthy ffreinds Mr Nicholas
Roberts Iron monger And Mr John Child merchant the summe of One hun=
dred pounds of lawfull money of England To be paid to them by my Executors
in manner and forme following (That is to day) One hundred pounds there
of within Six moneths after my decease Two hundred pounds more thereof
within Twelve moneths after my decease One hundred pounds more thereof
within Eighteene moneths after my decease if my sister Mary [X]hete shalbe
then liveing and not otherwise upon Trust and confidence nonethelesse in
them the said Nicholas Roberts and John Child reposed That they the said
Nicholas Roberts and John Child and the Survivor of them And the Executors
and Administrators of the Survivor of them doe and shall from tyme to
tyme put out and imploy the said severall summes of money Imediatly after
receipt thereof att Interest uppon such security or securities either Reall,
or personall as they n their discretions shall thinke fitting And upon
ffurther Trust That they the said Nicholas Roberts and John Child And
the Survivor of them and the Executors and Administrators of the Sur=
vivors of them shall pay and satisfy to my said sister Mary White during
her naturall life by Quarterly or halfe yearly payments for and towards
her maintenance and livelyhood All and [?entirely] the Interest and im=
provement of the said moneys whilst and untill the payment of the
Principall thereof as here after is mentioned And the said principall
summe of ffive hundred pounds shall pay and dispose of as followeth
(That is to say) One hundred pounds part thereof To my Cousin
Elizabeth White daughter of my said sister Mary White for her
preferment and advancement within Six moneths next after the
say of my said Cousins marriage Or att her age of Twenty and
ffoure yeares which shall ffirst happen ffifty ffive pounds more
thereof shall pay to my Cousin Sarah White one other of the daugh=
ters of my said sister White for her preferment and advancement
within six moneths next after The day of my said Cousin Sarah
her marriage or att her age of one and Twenty yeare which shall
ffirst
