said shipp the John being fully laden as aforesaid, sett saile and went over the

after the time of such her lading, this deponent being for all that time [?XXX]

To the first hee saith, That as this deponent was informed at Porto
Port aforesaid by the Master and some of the Company of the said shipp the
John and to and according to the best of this deponents judgement shee being
laden as aforesaid drew the thirteen foot water or upward, And saith
this deponent observed the said hamburgher or fflemish shipp, and what
water shee drew, upon this occasion, that shee being ready to sett saile from
Porta Port this deponent went on board her to send some letters for England
the said shipp being to stopp in the downes, and at that time this deponent
observed her to draw about 10. or 11. foote water, And otherwise negatively
And further cannot depose./
To the 2. Interrogatorie, hee saith the said shipp the Porto Port [?XXX]
came into the harbour of Porto Port about the 15th day of January
1653. English style, the said shipp being of the burthen of about 200. tunnes
and saith shee was not in a readinesse to depart thence upon the 18.th day
of March interrate. neither did shee passe the barr aforesaid till the
5th day of May following, for that after shee was fully laden, shee was
necessitated to stay and attend the Merchants that were to come in her
for England. And further cannot depose./
To the 3. hee saith, hee doeth not know or remember that any shipp or
shipps came over the barr of Porto Port upon the day or within that
time interrate And further, saving his foregoeing, deposition hee cannot depose
