Letter from Henry Oxinden of Deane to Henry Oxinden of Barham (his cousin): Letter 16

(MS. 28,000, f. 50)
Printed as Letter CCXXXII in D.K.Gardiner (1933:301-302)

Notes

(1) HO of Deane's reference to his sister Dallison "being then out of towne", confirms that she has been in London. It is not clear though whether she is living separately from HO of Deane who refers to "the great distance that is from the lodging where wee live and blacke friers."
(2) HO of Deane states that tomorrow he is going to Leeds (presumably Leeds castle, Kent) "where I shall bee glad to see you beefore next terme."

Possible research

(1) Are there any Leeds castle & Meredith family records of relevance to the 1640-1665 period which might be of use in providing context. Do an A2A search
