To do

(1) Do an A2A search

- Are there any Leeds castle & Meredith family records of relevance to the 1640-1665 period which might be of use in providing context?

Transcription

Printed as Letter CCXXXII in D.K.Gardiner (1933:301-302)

Probable date according to Gardiner is May 1642

Notes

(1) HO of Deane's reference to his sister Dallison "being then out of towne", confirms that she has been in London. It is not clear though whether she is living separately from HO of Deane who refers to "the great distance that is from the lodging where wee live and blacke friers."
(2) HO of Deane states that tomorrow he is going to Leeds (presumably Leeds castle, Kent) "where I shall bee glad to see you beefore next terme."
