dad was in the full absolute and quiet possession thereof
All which he knoweth to bee true because hee this deponent ws present at
dunquirke when the said dad soe bought the said ship the Adventur[?a] and
from thence came home in her to Plymouth together with the said producent
And further hee cannot depose.

To the second Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that the said ship the
Adventure in or about the moneth of Aprill 1643 being comeing home
from Cadiz and Saint Luca[?r] for London was taken at Sea by an Irish Man
or warre who caryed her to Waxford in Ireland, at which tyme the said
ship was laden with Sugars and oyles And with that after such the
seizure of the said shipp shee was by the takers thereof sold to some Irish
Merchants who sett her forth againe from Waxford for Cadiz laden with
Butter Tallow hides beefe pipe staves and Salmon but the said
ship in her said voyage being mett with off the Southward [?Baye]
by the interrogated William Ashley shee was with her said ladeing by
him taken and carryed to Leghorne where the same was by him sold
and disposed of as his owne goods The premisses hee deposeth because hee
this deponent being a Quarter master of and in the [Raynbow] was in the said
ship at Sea nere the ship the Adventura when the said Ashley [?seized]
her and mett him att Sea and sawe her in his possession, and the next
yeare after this deponent goeing to Leghorne hee did there see the said ship
the Adventura in the possession of such persons as the said Ashley had sold
her unto And further hee cannot depose, saveing that this deponent
sawe the said ship at Waxford ymediatly after shee was seized
by the said Irishe man of warre and before shee was sett out from
thence for Saint Lucar.

To the third Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that the said ship the Adven=
tur[?a] soe seized by the said Irishe man of warre and retaken by the said
Ashley was and is the very same ship which did belong unto the said dad
and which hee soe as aforesaid bought at dunquirke And soe much hee
saith was comonly said and reported by and amongst [?severall] persons at [XXX XXXX]
who very well knew her And saith that hee this deponent met the said Ashley
with the said shipp off Carthagina and spoke with him and was abord him and
then the said Ashley gave Captaine [Grawder] the comander of the ship the
[Raynibeare] in which this deponent then was fower Salmon and a Cable out of the said
ship the Adventura, which hee [XXX] know to bee the said producents shipp
by her [XXdd] Gall[?a]ryes and her s[?nooke] head and by man other signes
and tokens which this deponent had taken notice of in his former knowledge of her
which hee sith was by the space of neare Twenty yeares before she
was by the said dad soe bought at dunquirke. And further hee cannot
depose.

To the fowerth Interrogatorie hee saith hee cannot depose.

ship the Adventure was at the Arches in Turkie, and saith she was of about
the Burthen of 150 Tonns And otherwise refereth himselfe to his
foregoeing deposition where hee hath given full satisfaction to this Interrogatorie

To the last Interrogatorie hee saith hee hath not soe deposed to [?this XXX GUTTER]
