Transcription

aboard the shipp arlate a certaine quantity of iron
and some sugars and other goods to be transported
from Madera or some other place neere thereunto
and that the gactors of the said Batt who went in
the said shipp the voyage aforesaid, had and received
the freight due for the said goods but what the
particulers of the said iron sugars and other goods
were, and what the freight of them amounted
unto these Rendents know not nor were ever
informed And otherwise they nor any of them
doe not nor doth beleeve the said pretended position
to be true in any part thereof

To the eleaventh position of the said pretended allegation
they and every of them doe answeare and beleeve
that in the outward voyage arlate from England
there went in the shipp arlate three passnigers (sic)
and noe more as they beleeve the passage of each
of them being worth five pounds and noe more as
they beleeve, and they alsoe beleeve that the
mony due for the freight of the said passnigers (sic)
was received and layed out by the said
Middleton by the appointment of the said
Thomas Batt for the use of the said Batt
and accounted and allowed to him the said Batt
at Gravesend, before the said shipp set sayle
from thence on her outward voyage And
otherwise they nor any of them doe not nor
doth beleeve the said pretended position to be
true in any part thereof.

they and every of them doe answeare and beleeve
that there were laden aboard the shipp arlate
in her returne from Allecant to England the
voyage arlate a certaine quantity of currants
the freight whereof amounted to the summe of
