Transcription

To the third pretensed position and schedule
therein mentioned hee answereth and ac=
cepteth soe much of the Contents of the said
position and schedule therein mentioned
as make for him and not otherwise and
beleeveth that the arlate Christopher
Peeterson did proceed upon the said voyadge
from hamburrowe to the Canaries and
did there take into the said shippe for the
Account of this Rendent and others the
number or quantitye of 282 pipes of
wines and seaven packs of Coocheneale
and noe more as hee beleeveth
with which hee the said Peeterson set saile to London
and here arrived upon or about the Third
day of January 1650 and after his Ar
rivall here did contrary to his agreement
and contract keepe and detaine this
Rendents goods on board his said shippe here
in the River of Thames by the space of
eleaven dayes before hee would begin to deli
ver the same although this respondent
did severall times and dayes within the said
eleaven dayes often desire him to deliver
the same which wilfull neglect of delivery
and default of the said Peterson this
rendent beleeveth hee this rendent was
damnified in losse or market in his
said wines the Summe of 350 li And this
rendent further beleeveth that att such
time as the said Peetersond did deliver
unto this rendent his said goods the same
were much imbeazelled and wasted and
spoiled soe as this rendent was dam=
nified thereby in losse of wines to the
value of 300 li as hee beleeveth and this
rendent alsoe beleeves
that the arlate Peterson albeit hee made
