  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

Daniel Harris servus precontestis sui William Coultman
etatis 19 annorum et ultra testis in hac parte iuratus
et examinatus./

Ad 12. et 13 arlos libelli in hac parte dat et oblat dicit et deponit
That about two yeares since his precontest the foresayd William
Coultman and this deponent as his servant were imployed by Mr Barnardiston and Mr Robert
and Mr ffrancis Meade of London merchants to fill up certayne
Barrells of oyle then lyeinge in a warehouse within a yard
belonginge to the three Cranes Taverne right against the
Customhouse London in which warehouse there were the quantitye
of foure score barrells or thereabouts which had had sweet oyle in
them, some of which were broken in peeces and the heads oof some
of them were out and nothinge left in them and some of them had not above a quart
and some about a pottle and some more and some lesse of oyle in them all
which foure score barrells or thereabouts did not make above nyneteene
barrells of good oyle; and a barrell and a halfe or thereabouts
of the scrapings of the barrells and refuse oyle, but what became
of the rest of the oyles that were in the sayd barrells or out of
what shipp they came he knoweth not Et alr nescit

Ad 15 affirmat That some of the sayd oyles which were filled into
the sayd 19 barrells were very good, but the oyle which came
out of some of the sayd barrells which had but little in them became
ranke and naughte, Et alr nescit deponere/
