Transcription

To the 5th hee saith that so long as the said shipp was upon this voyage
and imployment hee received his wages for his service therein of [XXXX XXXXX]
owners Mr B[?atson] and Mr Turges by A letter of Attorney to his
wife for the receipt thereof, And saith hee hath not [?word] of [XXXX] any
reward for his deposition [?therein] And further hee saith hee knoweth not./

To the 6th hee saith that he did see the writeing or agreement betweene the
said Master and the Agent Mr day touching the intrusting the [?gould] aforesaid with
him the said day, which hee saith was made for the se of the said [MXXX] and Company
in Assurance of there Wages and ffreight due to him the said Master and Owners
of the said shipp, as before hee hath deposed, And further referring
himself to his former depositions hee saith hee cannot answare

Examined upon the allegation and schedules aforesaid

dt. Smith.

Humphrey Coulston of the citi[?a] of Bristoll Merchant
aged 21 yeares or thereabouts, sworne and examined.

To the first second third fourth and fifth articles of the said allegation given the next Court
day after Saint Andrew last and to the two schedules or bills of lading anexed
nowe showed unto him hee saith and deposeth that hee well knoweth the
producent Sir Jacob Garret and that within the time arlate there came
to Ligorne to the hands of the arlate John ffairfax and company 27 barrells
and one caske of Indico, consigned unto the said ffairfax and mr Thomas
B[?arnesley] from the said Sir Jacob Garret from London and
to be disposed of by them for his accompt, six of which barrells came
and were soe brought to Ligorne in the shipp the Arabella of London
(James G[?adday] master) and 21 and a hafe thereof in the shipp the [XXXXXXs]
of London (Richard Ell commander) which hee knoweth because hee
this deponent was then servant to the said ffairfax and resident at
Ligorne and sawe the said barrells of Indico put into the said ffairfax and
company their warehouse at Ligorne...
