Transcription

notice of all provisions that came on board, and that he the
deponent did accordingly take notice thereof, and taje in writing
a note of the particulars that came on board her for
the yeares voyage 1651 arlate, and that he having at this
his time of examination the note of the sayd things and
provisions then taken aboard her, the said shipp and
comparing the same with the first schedule mentioned
in this article he saith that the same doth agree in every
particular, and that all the said goods were soe had and
taken into the said shipp for the iust and necessary use of
her, And he further deposeth and saith That he the
deponent was in the yeare 1652 Gunner of the sayd shipp
and that then she being bound for a voyage to New England
that he the deponent was (in the monthes arlate) imployed in fetching from Mr
Dell (since deceased) whilst he lived the husband of the
producent all the goods and provisions mentioned and
particularised in the second schedule annexed unto the sayd
Libell, and that he the deponent did bring and deliver all the same
goods and provisions aboard the sayd shipp, And that therof
he tooke speciall notice, and alsoe tooke a note of every
particular in writing; which he having at this his examination
and therewith comparing the said second schedule mentioned
in the said article he saith that the said schedule doth
therewith agree, And that therefore he knoweth that all and
every of the goods and provisions mentioned in the second schedule were soe layd on board the said
shipp for her voyage In the yeare 1652, And he
further deposeth that the sayd shipp could not have
proceeded on either of the said voyages arlate without the
said goods and provisions schedulated And further he cannot
depose

To the fifth article he deposeth that the arlate John dell
was the Lawfull Owner of all and singular the
goods and provisions mentioned in the said first and second
schedules The premisses he knoweth for that the said
provisions for the yeares voyage 1651 was delivered on board
as from him the said Dell, and he this deponent fetcht the
provisions and goods for the voyage in the yeare 1652 from
the said Dells house, And further he cannot depose./

To the sixth and seaventh articles of the sayd Libell referring
himselfe to his former deposition he cannot further depose

To the Eighth he deposeth that the said goods and
provisions taken in for the said shipps voyages predeposed
of were soe necessary and usefull that she could not have
gone to sea on either of the sayd voyages without the same
And further referring himselfe to his former deposition he
cannot depose.

To the nineth article he cannot depose.

To the 10th 11th 12th and 13th articles he cannot depose.

To the 14th article he saith that the arlate kilvert and
Company dwell within this Commonwealth and are therefore
subiects therof, And further he cannot depose

To the 15th he saith that he referreth himselfe to the Lawe

To the 16th he saith that his former deposition is true./
