said shipp the Leopard came first thither the foresaid voyage, and
well knoweth that shee brought not any Negroes thither, and this deponent
being there with her all or the most part of her time of her continuance
there and untill her comming thence, and comming thence in her, well
knoweth that shee did not dispose of or sell or barter awaay Negro's
there to any person whatsoever. And otherwise hee cannot depose

To the eighth hee saith that the said Iland of Martinica was and is
a ffrench plantation and planted and Inhabited by the ffrench and not
any plantation of the English, nor was ir is of or belonging to any
of the Charibee Ilands of the English plantation, nor under or
belonging to the English. And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the nineth hee saith that Cornelius ffrederickson was master of the
said shipp the Leopard at such time as shee came from Ginney to Martinica,
as aforesaid, at which time shee brought about 80 Negro's, and xvj
Elephants teeth in her, and had severall of her goods that were outwards
laden from holland and were undisposed at Ginney namely a parcell of
corrall. lnves, copper staves and other commodities. And otherwise hee
cannot depose.

To the tenth hee saith that as hee as informed by the company of the
said shipp upon her arivall at Martinica and by Cornelius ffrederickson
her then master, the arlate Claes ffrederickson came master of her
from holland, and died at Ginney, and that hee the said Cornelius
ffrederickson succeeded him in the said mastershipp. And otherwise
hee cannot depose.

To the 11th 12. 13. and 14 articles hee saith that the Cape Merchant or factor of the said
shipp not behaving himselfe well and to the advantage of his imployers
and the master differeing with him thereabouts, there happened
suite betwixt them in lawe at Martinica, during which sute
the said shipp continued there of this deponents sight and
knowledge, and was afterwards dismissed by order of Court
and then departed in or about the middle of September last
for Saint Christofers (under the Conduct of the said master Cornelius
ffrederickson) there to touch in her way for Amsterdam, and
being there arived, the said Cornelius ffrederickson there departed
this life, by which meanes the company were constrained to make
some stay there to bury him, and to provide themselves of a
new master for the said shipp, and at length the said company
and the dutch skippers that were there (as the manner is in like
cases) made choice of Claes Tuneson one of her company to be her
master, who undertooke that office at Saint Christofers aforesaid,
where hee saith the said shipp did not remaine above three weekes
or thereabouts namely from about the 20th of September to the
16th of October at which time shee departed thence for Amsterdam,
and saith that in all the said time of the said shipps staying at
Saint Christofers the master nor any of the company as hee verily
beleeveth did not in the least truck or trade, or buy or sell any
goods or commodities other then for victualls which the said shipp
wanted and tooke in, nor did shee take in any goods of the growth
of that place or other part of the Iland, but meerlie victaualls and
water, and having buried the said Cornelius ffrederickson the said
shipp
