Transcription

the said shipp, as being the proceede or provenue of corne, balkes
or deale, and spiceries by himm transmitted at severall times and upon
severall voiages to Spaine in and with the said shipp the Goulden
falcon, for which the said producents Agents did remitt him the wines and
sirrops in Controversie, but saith hee was not present at the buying of
the said remitted goods, and saith hee this deponent saw the said spiceries and balkes laden
att or neere Middleburg for the said producents accompt, And saw
and perused letters of advise sent out from Spaine from the said ffactors to the
said producent intimating that for the said corne, spicerie and balkes
had in the said shipp remitted to the said producent predeposed [?they]
and now claymed, And further by his particular acquaintance and
frewuen t perusall of the said producents bookes and accompts hee well
knoweth and in Conscience declareth the producents interest to be as by
him predeposed.

To the 8th hee saith, hee cannot otherwise declare, then hee hath
predeposed and that the said factors who laded the goods in question are
hamburghers so farr as this rendent hath ever aunderstood, And otherwise
negatively:-

To the 9th hee answereth, hee was not present at the lading of the goods in Controversye

To the 10th hee saith, That hee this rendent is a Native of Tervier
alias Campheere in Zealand, where hee hath his settled residence, And
otherwise negatively to every part thereof:-

To the 11th hee saith, That hee hath formerly declared what the goods and
effects of the said producent were, out of which the goods now claymed did
proceed, and that the said goods transmitted were all transmitted, and the said
returne of their proceed made in one and the same shipp the Goulden ffalcon
(Anthony Cornelison Master) the said transmitted goods being all sent from
Zealand within the time and before any hostility as aforesaid
And further cannot depose./

To the 12th hee saith, That the said producents factor at Middleburgh
for his Merchandizing occasions was and is (in regard of the said
producents said exile and abdication) Leonard Thyson the producents
and this rendents brother, who is a Zealander borne, but hath no part
or share in the said shipp or goods:/:-

To the 13th hee saith, That hee doth not know neither doeth hee in
Conscience beleeve that the goods now Claimes doe appertaine to
any hollander, Zealander or others Subjects of the States interrate
(the said producent and Claymer being an exiled and excluded person
from the tuition of that Commonwealth or State and having so been
and acknowledged a Subject of his Catholoque Majestie of Spaine long
before the seizure in question) neither to any frenchman or ffrenchmen
Subject or Subjects of the king of ffrance interrate./

To the 14th hee saith, That the said shipp the Goulden ffalcon begann
her last outwards voiage from Zealand to Bayon in france in or about the monethes
of March or Aprill 1652. last past, where shee went to
