To the Crosse Interrogatories:- [CENTRE EHADING]

To the first hee saith hee never head nor pretended to have any part
or share of or in the shipp Charitie interrate:-

To the second hee referreth himelfe to his foregoeing deposition; And further
cannot depose:-

To the third hee saith the said shipp was sould at Bayon by sound of
Trumpett, but whether the interrate harrigate did consent thereunto
or not hee saith hee knoweth not:-

To the 4th hee saith, the said harrigate was Master and part Owner of
the said shipp before her said seizure by which hee and his Companie
were utterly dispossessed of the same:-

To the 5th and 6th hee saith hee knoweth nothing thereof, saving his foregoeing
deposition:/

To the 7th hee saith hee heard a publique outcry at Bayon to the
effect interrate, as this rendent was there informed, but understandeth
it not./

Mariner aged 20. yeares or thereabouts a
Wittnesse sworne and examined saith as followeth
videlicet:-

To the first article hee saith and deposeth, That hee this deponent was
knew the said shipp the Charitie whereof the arlate Robert harrigate
Mariner or Commander in the yeares 1651. and 1652. last past and
sailed in and served aboard her as a Mariner and servant to the said Robert
harrigate both in the voiage and at the seizure in question, and for severall
Voiages before, by meanes whereof hee knoweth, and hath constantly
heard and understood that one Mr James Cole of New-Castle
Thomas Potts and Thomas henderson of the same together with the said Master
and another man (whose name hee knoweth not) living at Bowe neere
London were and ought to bee the true and Lawfull Owners and
Proprietors of the said shipp and of her Tackle apparrell and furniture
and for such they were commonly knowne and observed to bee soe long
as this deponent knew the said shipp till the time of her seizure as hee [?XXX GUTTER]
deduced And further cannot depose saving his subsequent deposition

To the second hee saith, That the said Robert harrigate on the behalfe
of himselfe and his said Owners did in or about the moneth of September
1652:- last past at ffalmouth in Cornewall lett the said shipp to
fraight to one Mr harvey a Merchant of Waxford in Ireland
for the space of 6. monethes to be imployed to Saint Sebastians in Spaine
or any other free Port or Ports according to the said harveys
direction, and the said shipp having accordingly sailed to Saint Sebastians
