On the 24th of November 1655. [CENTRE HEADING]

Rp. EA.

Bartholomew Greene of Radcliffe in the County of
Middlesex servant unto the sayd Symon Beale the
producent, aged 19 yeares and upwards, a wittnes
produced and sworne and being examined he deposeth as followeth

To the first article of the sayd allegation he deposeth and
saith That he was one of the shipp the Providence her company
in her voyage arlate to Norway, and that he was there
present when the deales were brought home in the sayd shipp
to this Port of London were there laden by the arlate
Nicholas Christianson the Agent or factor there of the
arlate Goodwin and Langdon for their accompt, and that
he the deponent being soe present did see the cutting of the
sayd Deales brought home in the sayd shipp, and that of
his certaine knowledge they were cutt bny Danes such as
were imployed to that purpose of the said Christianson, and
he saith that they were soe cutt for the more convenient
stowing of them into the sayd shipp, and that the peices of
Deales brought home in the sayd shipp were cutt off of
the long peices of Deales brought home in the sayd shipp
and of noe other deales, of the deponents certaine knowledge
who first saw the cutting of the sayd deales and afterwards
the stowing of them into the sayd shipp And further he
saith he cannot depose saving that the sayd Deales were laden
aboard after the rate of sice score to the hundred and noe more

To the last he saith his former deposition is true./

To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first Interrogatory he answereth that he is at this present
servant unto the producent as he was at the time he saw the
deales interrate laden aboard the shipp in Norway, and he
saith that there were some deales (but what number he knoweth
not) at the shipps side which were not taken in because the
shipp was fully loaden, And otherwise referring himselfe to his
former deposition he answereth negatively./

To the second Interrogatory he answereth that the peeces of deales
cutt in this Rendents sight by Danes putt in that worke by
the sayd Christianson the Agent of Goodwyn and Langdon
but he saith he kept noe reckoning or account how many peeces
there were, And to the rest negatively.

To the third Interrogatory he saith he knoweth not to answere it
not belonging to him but to the Bozen of the shipp to
take account of what goods were taken in and what delivered out of the said shipp.

Repeated with his precontest befor
the two Judges in Court.
