the said Jeronimo Nunez da Costa marked alsoe with other markes, soe that
hee beleeveth the other goods of other markes mentioned in the
said bills to be the reall goods and laden for the accompt of the said Jeronimo
Nunez da Costa, And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the twelveth article of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth that hee
well knoweth that the producents Jeronimo Nunez da Costa, duarte
dias da Paz, diego ffernandez Lemos, and Simon and Lewis Rodriguez
da Sousa, have lived eight yeares or thereabouts in Amsterdam and
the said da Costa and da Paz more, which hee knoweth his said master
Mr Boeve and since hee this deponent corresponding with them as
there living for all that time, and receiving dispatches from them thence
and saith the arlate diego Perez Caminho and diego Barazzo and
Andrew and Christofer Nunez doe alsoe dwell at Amsterdam, and
hee really beleeveth that all the forenamed persons are
subiects of the Lords the States of the United Netherlands and Burgers of Amsterdam for that
they are both in the foresaid attestations and [?procurations]
taken notice of in that qualitie and as marchants of that place,
and for and as such as aforesaid they were and are commonly accompted
and reputed, And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the 13th hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid, referring himselfe
to his foregoing deposition./

To the last hee saith his foregoing deposition was and is true.

To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING]

To the first hee saith hee is a merchant
of this citie, where hee hath dwelt theise fourteene yeares last past, and
that hee is in noe relation of kindred or service to any of the producents
nor hath hee as hee saith any share or interest in the goods in question
nor was in or belonging to the Thirstie hart at the time of her seizure
nor at any other time.

To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the said Jeronimo Nunez da Costa
by Correspondence theise eight or nine yeares last, and duarte diaz da
Paz, diego ffernandez de Lemos and Simon and Lewes Rodriguez for the like
time, and the rest of the said claimers for foure or five monethes,
and beleeveth they have dwelt all of them for many yeares in Amsterdam
saving the said Manoell Martinus Madina who liveth in lisbone.
and otherwise hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.

To the third hee saith hee never sawe any of the persons interrogated
and otherwise saving his foregoing deposition to which hee referreth himselfe
hee cannot depose.

To the fourth hee saith hee was not in the voyage nor at lisbone, and
therefore cannot say ought to the buying of the goods in question, nor to
the other matters interrogated, saving hee referreth
himselfe to his foregoing deposition.

To the fifth hee referreth himselfe to the said bills of lading and
to his foregoing deposition and otherwise cannot answer, saving his foregoing
deposition, hee not being in the voyage, nor knowing ought of the buying or
providing the goods in question.
