of goods to the value as hee beleeveth of fourteene hundred pounds or
thereabouts And saith that the sayd shipp did in her passage
towards Sally make the port of OlaRoch which is a towne in Barbary
under subiection of the Spaniards, and lying about 34 leagues to the Eastward of
Salley) supposeing it to bee Salley as this deponent beleeveth, and the sayd Master or his brother Robert caused a gunne
to be there fired thinkeing it to be Salley as this deponent beleeveth that if those of
the Garrison of OlaRoch had upon fiering the sayd gunne suddainely sent out

Interrogatorie hee cannot answere./

To the second Interrogatorie hee saith that some part of the Merchants tobaccoe was
unsold at Santa Cruse Interrogate but the reason thereof hee knoweth not and saith
hee knoweth not of any tobaccoe belonging to the merchants which was throwne
over board And he further saith the sayd Browneing the Master of the ffortune
did in this deponents presence quarrell and fight with one ffreeman Browne the Carpenter of the sayd
shipp at Santa Cruse because the sayd Browne refused to doe what the sayd Master
commanded him And also the sayd master did at Santa Cruse on board the
shipp of one Mr Paine, fight with and quarrell with the Interrogate Mr
Clowbery touching some wards which passed betweene them at
supper in the sayd Paines shipp, this hee deposeth being alsoe then at supper
onboard the sayd shipp And further to this Interrogatorie hee cannot answere/

To the 3 Interrogatorie hee saith the sayd Browneing the tyme Interrogatorie was bound with
the shipp ffortune from Santa Cruse to Salley to receave the proceede and
returne of goods sold there, and saith hee the sayd Browneing did at Santa
Cruse take in on board the sayd shipp forty and odd Moores and Jewes and divers
goods belonging to them to be transported upon freight to Salley but
by stresse of weather as is predeposed was forced to land the sayd passagers
and some of their goods (soe many as they could conveniently carrie over land)
at Tittiwan Interrogatorie And further to this Interrogatorie hee cannot answere/

To the 4th Interrogatorie hee saith hee was present when the Interrogate Robert
Browning did at the rate of nynteene ducketts a kintell bargaine for and
buy of the sayd Moores and Jewes about two or three and twenty Kintells of bees
waxe, but upon or for whose Accompt the same was bought hee knoweth not
And further to this Interrogatorie hee cannot depose./

To the 5th hee saith the shipp ffortune in her passage from Cape Spe[?r]ate did
make Pedras Tower for Saint Sebastians, but saith the same was not done by Thomas
Browneing as is Interrogate but by Robert Browning his Mate then Pilott of the sayd shipp
