  • Insert immediately after the sentence or phrase you wish to annotate the following macro:<ref>This is the footnote text</ref>
  • Replace 'This is the footnote text' with the footnote you wish to add, using the format: first name, surname, title, (place of publication, date of publication), page or folio number
  • Save the page

Dunstans in the est Cooke and John
Smith of Newberry in the County of Berkshire
Clothier whoe submittinge themselves et cetera oblige
themselves et cetera for the said John Brown and John
Toppin un the summe of eight hundred pounds of
lawfull money of England to the said Christopher
Errington to restore the said shipp the Confidence or
to pay the vallue of the same accordinge to the [?Account]
thereof to be taken by authority of this Court in case the
same shalbe adiudged to belonge unto the said Errington
and alsoe answere the action commenced by the said
Errington against teh said Browne and to pay
