IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Thomas Crowder of Upper Shadwell in the parish of Stebenheath otherwise Stepney in the County of Midds Mariner, being in perfect health and memory (thanks bee to Almighty God) and bound out to sea, Considering the certainty of death and the incerteynty of the time when, doe make and ordeyne this my last Will and testament in manner and forme following (That is to say) ffirst and principally I commend my Soule into the hands of Almighty God my Maker hopeing and undoubtedly beleeveing in by and through the merritts of Jesus Christ my Saviour to obteyne remission of all my sins and to enjoy Eternall life.

And my body I committ either unto the earth or Sea where the Lord shalbe pleased to dispose of the same,

And as touching the Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to blesse mee my debts and ffunerall expences if any be being first paid And satisfied I doe give devize and bequeath as ffolloweth (That is to say) I give devise and bequeath alll the Rents Issues and proffitts of all those my Messuages and Tenements that I lately buylt scittuate lveing and being in Upper Shadwell neere the new Church unto my very loveing wife Hannah Crowder dureing her naturall life shee paying the quitt Rents that shall ?arise due or payable for the same, And after her decease I doe give devize and bequeath unto my loveing Sonne John Crwder the Two houses that are next the West

ITEM I doe give devise and bequeath unto my loveing daughter Hannah Crowder after the decease of my Wife the Two houses next unto the East

ITEM I doe give devize and bequeath unto my very loveing Wife Hannah Crowder the use of all my goods and Chattells dureing her naturall life and after her decease I doe give and bequeath all my said goods and Chattells unto my loveing Sonne John Crowder and unto my loveing daughter Hannah Crowder to be equally devided betweene them part and part alike

And my Will and meaneing is that if either of my said Children shall dye or depart this life that then and in such case I doe give and bequeath the Legacies of him or her soe deceaseing unto the Survivor And my Will and meaneing is that if my said Children shall both of them live to enjoy the houses herein unto them by mee given devised and bequeathed That then they shall pay the quitt Rent that shall growe due for the said presmisses equally betweene them part and part alike dureing the remainder of yeares that shalbe then to come and unexpired of my Lease of and in the p:rmisses.

And I doe hereby make and ordeyne my very loveing Wife Hannah Crowder my full and Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and I doe nominate and appointe John Burchett and John Proude Overseers unto whome I doe give Twenty

SHILLINGS apeece to buy them a Ring desireing them as they in the like case may Desire others to assist my said Executrix and to see this my Will in all things to be ?duely and truely performed

And I doe hereby call in make null and voyd all former or other Wills and bequeasts before by mee made and I confirme their presents to be and to conteynne my last Will and Testament
