Passage from the Barbadoes to Santa Cruz&l … Passage from the Barbadoes to Santa Cruz<br />
and beleeveth that the ship arlate did set saile out<br />
of the downes the second of July 1659. and arrived<br />
att Barbados the 12th of August 1649. beinge thither<br />
first bound and that haveing necessarily stayed there<br />
videlcet att the Barbados nine dayes to deliver some<br />
goods and passengers shee set saile from thence<br />
to Antwgo and Saint Christophers, where haveinge<br />
necessarily stayed the time before mentioned uppon the<br />
occasion befor mentioned this rendent did set saile<br />
from Saint Christophers uppon or about the 13th<br />
day of September 1649. and arrived att Santa Cruz<br />
the 15th day of September 1640. and after<br />
arrivall there delivered the rest of the ships<br />
ladeinge and passengers there, where hee sayed<br />
untill the eleaventh of december 1649 dureinge which<br />
time there dyed 15 of the marriners of thesaid shipp and otherwise hee doth not beleeve<br />
the pretensed positionn to be true in any part/
To the 8th pretensed position hee answereth and<br />
beleeveth that the usaull passafe from<br />
Guiney in the Gold coast arlate to the Barbados<br />
is ordinarily (as hee beleeveth accomplished<br />
in fower monethes, but some times uppon<br />
occasion of Contrey windes and weather the<br />
same is of Longer time in performance, and<br />
otherwise hee doth not beleeve this pretensed<br />
position to be true in any part thereof.
To the nineth pretensed position hee answereth<br />
and beleeveth that in the moneth of ffebruary<br />
1649. this rendent did with the ship/>
