certaine quantity of soape the freight whe … certaine quantity of soape the freight whereof<br />
amounted to 57 ''li'' - 6 ''s'' - 6 ''d'' and noe more as they<br />
beleeve and some other goods And they alsoe<br />
beleeve that the said Thomas Middleton did receive<br />
the freight due for the said currance and soape<br />
but not for any other goods arlate as they beleeve<br />
but what were the perticulars or quantities of<br />
the said goods or what the freight of them did<br />
amount unto excepting only the freight of the said<br />
currance and soapes which they have already in these<br />
theire answeares declared these Rendents know<br />
not nor were ever informed And otherwise they<br />
nor any of them doe not nor doth beleeve the<br />
said pretended position to be true in any parte<br />
thereof.
To the thirteenth position of the said pretended<br />
allegation they answeare and referr themselves<br />
to the booke of accounts arlate which they<br />
beleeve to be in the possession of the arlate<br />
Thomas Middleton and to theire former answears<br />
which they beleeve to be true and otherwise<br />
they nor any of them doe not nor doth<br />
beleeve the said pretended position to be true in<br />
any part thereof.
To the fourteenth position of the said pretended<br />
allegation they and every of them doe answeare<br />
and beleeve that there were laden aboard the<br />
shipp arlate at or neere Allicant arlate a<br />
certaine quantity of salt and Oxehides, which<br />
were transported and brought home in the<br />
said shipp to this Port of London, and shortly<br />
after her arrivall there these Rendents<br />
and company did cause the said goods to be<br />
arrested by a warrant of this Court for theire<br />
freight due unto them for the voyage in<br />
