Transcription Ad 1. 2. 3. et 4 arlos libelli in hac partAd 1. 2. 3. et 4 arlos libelli in hac parte dat et ablat dicit et deponit<br /> That about eight or nyne monethes since the arlate Thomas Atkins<br /> alias Atkinson the producent at the Salutation Taverne <br /> neere Billingsgaate did contracte and agree with<br /> the arlate Thomas Landish then master of a certayne hoye or<br /> barke called the ''Elizabeth'' to carrye twentye seaven newe butts<br /> in the sayd hoye or barke from the porte of London into Tilbury Hope<br /> and there to deliver the same abord the arlate shipp called the ''ffoure''<br /> ''Sisters'', and the sayd Atkinson the producent did promise and agree<br /> with the sayd Landish to give the sayd Landish for the fraighte<br /> and carriage of the sayd 27 butts from the porte of London into<br /> Tilbury Hope the somme of twentye shillings and that if the sayd<br /> shipp the ''ffowre Sisters'' were departed out of Tilbury<br /> Hope before the sayd Landish should arrive there with the<br /> sayd 27 butts then he the sayd Landish should followe the sayd shipp<br /> into the downes and that the sayd Landish with his<br /> hoye or vessell did followe er into the downes and there deliver<br /> the sayd Casket or butts abord her then the sayd Landish should have<br /> for the fraighte of them the somme of three pounds sterling<br /> and the sayd Landish did accepte of the foresayd pomise and<br /> agreement, and did undertake to deliver the sayd 27 butts<br /> or casks abord the sayd shipp the ''ffowre Sisters'' either in Tilburye<br /> Hope or in the downes uppon the hire and condistions aforesayd, and<br /> there were then and there present at all and singular the premisses<br /> together with the sayd Atkins and Landish this deponent and his contest<br /> [BLANK IN MANUSCRIPT] Chapple a Lighterman And this he affirmeth upponm his<br /> oath to be true Et alr nescit deponere.
