River of Thames, the said severall pieces of eight, being then as hee<br />
firmely beleeveth all aboard the said shipps respectively. And<br />
otherwise cannot depose.
To the 7th hee saith his foregoing deposition is true.

To the first negatively.
To the second hee saith hee hath knowne the interrate John Smeesters<br />
for about 6. yeares last past, and the interrate Gerard Ryper for<br />
about 4 yeares by Correspondency, and the interrate John Lamotte for<br />
about 4 yeares in person and by Correspondency.
To the third hee saith the said Gerard Ryper and John Lamotte <br />
were and are ffactors to the said producent, but not hee to them, And<br />
otherwise saving his foregoing deposition hee cannot depose.
To the 4th hee saith the said John Smeesters the producent is an<br />
Antwerper borne where hee hath lived with his family in the<br />
broadstreet so long as this deponent hath knowne him, the saith Gerard<br />
Ryper also an Antwerper borne, and hath lived in Cadiz ever since this<br />
deponent hath knowne him, and the said John Lamotte is a Native<br />
of Brudges, and hath also lived at Antwerp and Cadiz ever since this<br />
deponent knew him, Gerard Ryper being a married man and the said<br />
Lamotte a Batchelor.
To the 5th hee cannot depose otherwise then hee hath formerly deposed.
To the 6th negatively, and oherwise saving his foregoing deposition hee said <br />
hee cannot depose.
To the 7th hee saith by vertue of his oath, That for the reasons by him<br />
predeposed hee knoweth the bills of lading interrate to be reall and<br />
true and made according to the Contents of the same. And otherwise <br />
cannot depose.
To the 8th, 9. and 10th hee saith hee cannot depose, saving his foregoing deposition.
To the 11th hee saith hee is for the reasons by him predeposed [?ConXXXied]<br />
in Conscience that all and singular the pieces of eight now Claymed<br />
doe really and in trueth appertaine and belong unto the said producent<br />
and to no other person or persons whatsoever.
To the 12. and 13th hee saith, That this deponent by the mutuall letters of<br />
entercourse between the said producent and his said ffactors understood<br />
and observed long time before the lading of the silver and moneys predeposed<br />
that the said producent was to receive severall parcells of silver from<br />
Spaine in returne for goods sent thither. And otherwise cannot depose.
To the 14th hee saith hee well knoweth, That in the yeare 1651<br />
and moneths therein respectively concurring or some of them the said<br />
producent by Peter Klinckart John de Vos Peter de Keyser and<br />
Joachim Cordes Masters of Ostend and Hamborough shipps sent<br />
