Transcription To the 6th and 7 hee saith that the said JTo the 6th and 7 hee saith that the said John Martenson dorps Purser<br /> made entrie of the said silver laden aboard the ''Saint George'' upon the<br /> signing of the said bill for the same, with the markes and numbers and<br /> names according to the said bill, and otherwise hee referreth himselfe to the<br /> said bill and foregoeing deposition. To the 8th hee saith that hee soth not knowe of any other bills<br /> signed for the said silver or goods of other tenor than those annexed<br /> nor beleeveth that there were any of other tenor, And otherwise hee<br /> cannot depose. To the 9th hee saith that the said goods and silver were and are really <br /> belonging to the producent and noe other person which hee knoweth for the<br /> reasons aforesaid. and otherwise negatively, the said producent proposing<br /> to imploy the same in fflanders. To the tenth hee saith the said producent acquainted this deponent and<br /> this deponent well knew that the said silver and wooll were for the<br /> proper accompt of him the said producent, and hee to beare the adventure<br /> thereof. To the 11th hee saith hee was borne in the kingdome of Toledo in<br /> Spaine, and is a batchelour, and hath his most usuall residence<br /> at Lima in Peru in the West Indies where hee hath dwelt these twelve<br /> yeares last in respect of his place of habitation. And otherwise<br /> negatively. To teh 12th and 13 hee saith that hee cannot depose thereto. To the 14 negatively. To the 15th hee saith hee cannot depose. To the 16th hee saith hee the said John Martenson dorp signed three bills<br /> of lading for the said silver laden aboard him, all of one tenor, one whereof<br /> hee brought with him in the shipp and another hee gave to the producent<br /> and the producent (as hee told this deponent) left the third in Cales. To the 17th hee saith hee is well assured by the markes and firme<br /> which hee well knoweth that the said first bill annexed is one of<br /> the said three bills soe signed by the said Captaine Martens, and<br /> otherwise hee cannot depose, saving hee alsoe knoweth the other<br /> bill[?s] annexed by the markes to be the bill[?s] for the silver and wooll<br /> laden aboard the ''Sampson'', and hee well knoweth alsoe the firmes thereof To the 18th hee saith that the said producent receiving the said bills<br /> upon their signing, brought the same as hee beleeveth alonge with<br /> him. And otherwise hee cannot depose. To the 19 negatively To the 20 and 21 hee saith that at the instant of firming the said<br /> bills, the said producent left one of them in the hands of the said<br /> John Martins dorp master of the said shipp the ''Saint George'' and<br /> otherwise saving his foregoeing deposition hee cannot depose.
