Transcription that John Bancks their said factor hatha dthat John Bancks their said factor hatha dvised them that for the preservation<br /> of the said goods, from seizure by the ffrench, hee hath furnished the<br /> said master with a bill of lading purporting the said goods to be vound for<br /> Nantes in ffrance, and there to be delivered to Monsieur George [?Rozee] for his accompt<br /> And saith the said bill for ffrance is mearly colourable and made to the<br /> end aforesaid, and that the bill nowe showed is the true and reall bill and<br /> that the said goods are turely belonging to the said Thomas fford and this deponent<br /> English merchants, sibiects of this Commonwealth, and were and are<br /> truely and really bound for Topsham in this Commonwealth there<br /> to be dischardged, And that noe ffrenchman or other person<br /> subiect to any Prince or State in enmities with this Commonwealth<br /> hath any share whatsoever therein.
