Transcription he hath knowne the said Lopez de Apastris he hath knowne the said Lopez de Apastris for these<br /> sixteene yeares last past, and that of his certaine knowledge<br /> the sayd Lopez de Apastris hath for seaven yeares<br /> last past bin, and at present is an Inhabitant with his<br /> family, a Citizen and a Merchant of Sevill in<br /> Spayne, and soe consequently a Subiect of The king of<br /> Spayne, And further he cannot depose. To the last he saith his former deposition is true./ To the Interrogatoryes ministred on the behalfe<br /> of his highnesse the Lord protector./ [CENTRE HEADING] To the first Interrogatory he answereth that the factors or Agents<br /> of the producent did advise him this Respondent that the<br /> shipp interrate the ''hare in the feild'' was a holland shipp<br /> That he this Rendent is a Spaniard by birth, borne at Villa<br /> ffranca in Biscay, that for fower yeares last past he<br /> hath been resident here in London, and that for three<br /> yeares before he was constantly resident in Sevill, And<br /> to all the rest of the sayd Interrogatory he answereth negatively. To the second Interrogatory he answereth that he hath satisfyed it<br /> in his foregoeing deposition. To the third Interrogatory he answereth that he hath knowne the<br /> interrate De Baud for about sixeteene yeares and the interrate<br /> de la ffitt for about eight yeares, that he first knew them<br /> in Spayne, and that they went for Gascoynes, but he<br /> knoweth not where they were borne yet beleiveth them to<br /> be ffrenchmen by birth, that during the time of his this<br /> Responedents knowing them they have bin sometimes in Spayne<br /> and sometimes in ffrance, And otherwise referring himselfe<br /> to his foregoeing depositions he cannot answeare./ To the fourth Interrogatory he answereth that the Linnens interrate<br /> were bought for the account of the said Lopez de Apastris<br /> by the said De Baud and De La ffitt his Agents and<br /> ffactors or one of them, at Roane about the month of March<br /> last past (as he beleiveth) with the proceed of the woolls by<br /> him predeposed of, but he saith he knoweth not whether the<br /> said proceed of the woolls was ready money or other goods,<br /> (he the Rendent being then here in London) And he answereth<br /> that he referreth himselfe to his former deposition and further<br /> cannot answeare, To the fifth and sixth Interrogatoryes he answereth that he was in<br /> London when the matters conteynedin these Interrogatoryes were<br /> done beyond the seas, and therfore cannot answere therunto To the seaventh Interrogatory he answereth that though he the<br /> Rendent was here in London when the bill of Lading interrate<br /> was signed and firmed, and he being here in London did<br /> receive the bill of Lading for the Linnens predeposed of signed or<br /> firmed by the Master John kein, Yet he beleiveth that the<br /> said bill of Lading was noe wise colourable or fictitious, for<br /> that the said bil of Lading did in every thing agree in<br /> the marks and Number and consignement with his Letters<br /> of advise he received concerning the said Linnens And<br /> further he cannot answere.And<br /> further he cannot answere.  +
