Transcription producent having such notice, sent into seproducent having such notice, sent into sewerall places in the West of<br /> England to enquire if any such goods were brought up, whereupon hee<br /> shortly after received advise from One Ambrose Jenning living at or<br /> neere Penryn in Cornwall, That hee the said Jennings had discovered that<br /> a private man of war called the ''Saint Ives Scout'' had brought up such<br /> Commodities to Saint Ives or some port thereabouts. The premises hee<br /> deposeth upon the grounds aforesaid, as being privy to the producents<br /> affaires and transactions, and thereby having seene and perused letters to<br /> the effect predeposed. And further cannot depose./ To the 6th hee saith, That this deponent verily beleeveth, That the said goods<br /> in Case they had arrived safe at Saint Sebastians, as the said ship ''Saint''<br /> ''Peter'' did, they might and would have yielded 30 ''li'' per Centum profit<br /> for that as the said producent was assured by letters of advise sent from<br /> his said Correspondent there resident, such sorts of Merchanizes<br /> were there in great request, and by reason of the obstruction of<br /> trade by reason of the troubles aforesaid, such goods were there very<br /> rare, and would yield a very great and considerable benefit, And<br /> further saving his foregoeing deposition to which hee referreth<br /> hee saith hee cannot depose./ To the 7th hee referreth himself to the Acts and proceedings of this<br /> Court.
