To the first hee saith hee was bourne and hath dwelt all his time<br />
in [?Purmarell] neere Amstedam, And that hee hath belonged to the said<br />
shipp 13 monethes, and otherwise negatively saving as aforesaid.
To the second hee saith hee never knew the said ffrancisco before such his<br />
lading the said goods and imbarking himselfe as aforesaid, Amd otherwise<br />
hee cannot depose saving as aforesaid.
To the third hee cannot answer, saving this deponent was not<br />
present at the hyring nor sawe any moneys paid for the said goods.
To the forth hee saith the said ffrancisco sent and did not come himselfe<br />
aboard with his said goods, but afterwards imbarqued himselfe, nor<br />
did this deponent ever see them in his warehouse or custodie ashore<br />
And otherwise hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.
To the 5th hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition and<br />
cannot otherwise depose.
To the 6th negatively.
To the 7th hee cannot depose.

34. yeares or thereabouts a Wittnes sworne and<br />
examined saith as followeth videlicet/:
To the first and second Articles of the said Allegation hee saith and deposeth<br />
That in the yeares arlate and moneths therein respectively concurring<br />
videlicet in the yeares 1649, 1650. and 1651, the arlate Thomas Culling<br />
Jonathan Andrewes and Gifford Bale the producents in this Cause were<br />
the true and lawfull Owners and Proprietors of the shipp the ''Amity''<br />
arlate and of her tackle apparell and furniture, and for such were<br />
well knowne and generally accompted, this deponent bein by the said<br />
Owners in or about the moneth of June in the yeare 1649. last past<br />
first constituted Master and Commander of<br />
the said shipp by order and for the accompt of the said producents, And<br />
saith, That after this deponent by the said producents was so constituted<br />
master or Commander of the said shipp, videlicet in or about the moneth of<br />
August <u>1649</u>. last past, the said Owners and producents did lett the said<br />
shipp to the arlate Samuel Mico Merchant now Alderman of the<br />
City of London for and upon a Voiage to be performed by the said<br />
