To the Interrogatories [CENTRE HEADING]
To the first after showing unto him the bill and papers interrogated<br />
hee saith hee knoweth nothing at all thereof, nor of the contents<br />
of this Interrogatorie.
To the second hee answereth that hee is of the Protestant<br />
Religion and maketh a conscience of the oath taken in this<br />
cause, and beleeveth it binding unto him to speak the truth<br />
without dissention to the contrary, and the rest hee conceiveth<br />
concerneth him not being a Protestant.
To the third hee saith hee<br />
doth not knowe the persons interrogated, and otherwise hee knoweth<br />
not.
To the 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11 and 12th hee cannot answer saving as<br />
aforesaid, not being in the voyage, nor knowing ought of the<br />
passages thereof otherwise that as aforesaid, nor knowing the<br />
interrogated Miranda or Baillahach.
