the said shipp wholly as by the said bill of Sale Appeareth and<br />
that hee hath since sold one Eighth part of her to William Carbe<br />
of Dover master of her and two other Eighths to two other English<br />

To the first article of the sayd allegation hee saith that the arlate Maurice<br />
Thompson Alderman Richard Hill Alderman William Thompson and the rest<br />
parties to this suite videlicet William Pennoyer Nehemia Bourne Job Throckmorton<br />
Michaell Davison during all the moneths and tyme arlate in the yeare one thousand<br />
sixe hundred fifty sixe were commonly reputed the freighters and imployers of the<br />
arlate shipp the ''Olive Branch'' and did hyre and freight her by the tonne for<br />
the voyage in question which was a voyage from this Port of London to Bantam<br />
in the East Indies and from thence to Ligorne in Europe this hee the better knoweth<br />
for that hee was and went Purser of the sayd shipp for the sayd voyage and hath<br />
seene a Coppy of the sayd Charterparty for the sayd voyage and read the same And<br />
further to this article hee cannot depose
