Transcription from the said time of his coming to serve from the said time of his coming to serve in the said shipp, and never knew<br /> him in Spaine, and saw him last about three r foure dayes since in this house,<br /> and saith hee was the Sopra cargo and alwaies looked to and after the shipps<br /> marchandize, And otherwise cannot answer saving as aforesaid. To the second and 3d Articles of the said Allegation hee saith and<br /> deposeth that, when this Deponent came first on board the said ship ''Elizabeth''<br /> ''and Mary'', which was about the Latter end of October 1645 hee found<br /> the arlate Andrew Hill on board the said ship; who served as Cooke<br /> in her, but knoweth not the precise time that hee was hyred<br /> for howe much hee was hyred, But verily beleeveth that hee<br /> was hyred by the said Thomas Middleton, And saith that<br /> of this Deponents Certaine knowledge the said Andrew Hill<br /> did well Deserve the summe of Thirty shillings per moneth, for<br /> the time hee served in the said ship; And saith that the<br /> said Andrew Hill and this Deponent and the rest of the Mariners<br /> of the said ship did enter into whole pay on the seaventh day<br /> of December 1645.
