Transcription And that the rest of the pepper sufficientAnd that the rest of the pepper sufficient fully to lade the said<br /> ship was then ready Provided, and Prepared, and was ready<br /> to have bin put on board, and would have bin Laden Aboard<br /> the said Ship within three or foure dayes next following, in<br /> case the arlate Antonio van Voozst and Company had not<br /> hindered them as hereafter is declared: To the 6th and 7th article of the said Allegation hee saith that on or about<br /> the Eleveth day of October 1657: English Stile namely presently after hee<br /> this deponent had sent out the foresaid 672 Bahaires of Pepper on board the<br /> ''Bantam ffrigot'', this deponent was sent for to Come on board<br /> the ''Bantam'', And this deponent accordingly went on board<br /> the ''Bantam'', and upon his comming to her found the Arlate<br /> Ship the ''Turtle Dove'' whereof the said Van Voozst was Comander<br /> and alsoe three vessells with about tenne or Twelve peeces<br /> of Ordinance a peece; Anchored neere the ''Bantam''; And saith that<br /> there came a Dutch Merchant from onboard the said Van Voozts<br /> Ship. (which was the Admirall in those parts.) who told this deponent that<br /> hee and the said Taylor must come aboard their Comadore, (meaning the ''Turtle''<br /> ''Dove''; which this Deponent accordingly did. but the said Taylor<br /> refused soe to doe saying hee had order from his Imployers<br /> not to goe out of his Ship; or to that effect, And saith that upon<br /> this Deponents Coming on board the said ''Turtle Dove'' hee<br /> Asked the said van Voozst where fore hee had sent for this<br /> deponent and the said Captaine Taylor to Come on board his<br /> Ship, or to that effect whereunto the said Van Voozst made<br /> Answer, that it was in regard the said ship the ''Bantam<br /> ffrigot'' being an English Ship did trade there or to that effect,<br /> And the said Van Voozst then peremptorily Charged and Comanded<br /> this Deponent that neither hee nor the said Isaac<br /> Taylor nor any of the ''Bantams'' Company should trade there<br /> or to that effect, And this Deponent then told the said Van Voozst<br /> that the ships full Lading of Pepper was there ashore by him<br /> bought, and some of it was allready Laden, and the rest<br /> was provided to be laden and would within three or foure dayes<br /> be all Laden aboard the said ship, and that hee had<br /> money and Goods on shore; but that hee should Dispatch all within<br /> three or foure Dayes, and then be ready to depart with the ''Bantam''<br /> and her Lading on board her, or to that effect and desired<br /> the said Van Voozst not to give him any interruption therein<br /> But the said Antonio van Voozst then told this Deponent that if hee<br /> did not depart from thence with the said ship without further<br /> trading There, hee would forthwith force this deponent and the said Ship<br /> and Company thereof to Depart thence; or to that effect, All which<br /> words and ?Expressions passed betweene this Deponent and the said Van Voozst on<br /> (board the said Van Voozst on<br /> (board  +
