Transcription The same day Examined on the said AllegatThe same day Examined on the said Allegation [CENTER HEADING] Rp. 2dus [LH MARGIN] '''John Shawe''' of Tower Wharfe<br /> Sailemaker aged 20 yeeres or thereabouts<br /> Sworne and Examined/. To the first article of the said Allegation hee saith and deposeth<br /> that hee well knoweth the ship the ''House of Freindship''<br /> and soe hath done ever since December<br /> 1657: and well knoweth that Nicholas Treworghy<br /> was in the moneth of December January ffebruary<br /> and beginning of March 1657 Master and Comander of<br /> the ship the ''House of ffreindship'', And soe Comonly<br /> accounted, And further cannot depose/: To the second 5th and 7th articles hee saith that in or about the said<br /> moneth of December and January 1657: the said ship<br /> the ''House of ffreindship'' being then bound out to sea<br /> did stand in Need of severall New sailes, and her<br /> old ones wanted Mending; And in or about the said time<br /> the said Nicholas Treworghy did come to the shop<br /> of the arlate George Shawe, and desired him to<br /> make and mend all and singular the Sailes and things<br /> in the third Schedule annexed to the said Allegation now<br /> seene and perused by him this Deponent and while the<br /> New Sailes were making and the old sailes of the<br /> shipp mending, the arlate Mr Catlyn came likewise<br /> to the shop of the said George Shawe, and desired<br /> him to dispatch the said sailes, in this Deponents hearing<br /> And saith that all and singular the worke mentioned<br /> in the said Third Schedule was done at the request<br /> of the said Treworghy and Catlyn, and the said<br /> worke was well worth the severall summes set downe<br /> for the same in the said Schedule and likewise<br /> all the sailes Rope Lint and twyne Cloath and Needles mentioned in the said schedule were<br /> at the request of the said Treworghy and Catlyn<br /> made and delivered onboard the said ship to her use and<br /> were likewise well worth the summes schedulate, those<br /> being the usuall prices [?for the same] the said time, And said<br /> that had not the said ships sailes bin mended<br /> and the foresaid things made delivered onboard her shee<br /> could not have proceeded to sea, The premisses<br /> he deposeth for that hee was the said time servant<br /> and Apprentice to the said George Shawe, and<br /> helped to make and mend the said Sailes and<br /> sawe them sent to be carried aboard the said shipp and further<br /> cannot depose./: To: further<br /> cannot depose./: To:  +
