in the Road of Ostend and there roade at Anchor; and<br />
it being Stormy weather, the said ship was forced from her said<br />
Anchor, and by the said Stormy weather driven to Dunborowe<br />
neere Middleborowe, and there forced on shore, and the<br />
Burghemasters of Dunborowe Caused her goods to be taken<br />
out of her, and put into the Stadt house; and warehouses, and<br />
aftwewards the Lords of Middleborowe came and seized upon<br />
the same for the use of the English; and afterwards sold<br />
the same, and have the Produce still in their hands And<br />
further Deposeth that the whole ships Lading Consisted<br />
in 1150 barrells of ffiggs 30000 of Oranges or thereabouts, and about<br />
10000 of Lemans, 2500 Canes or thereabouts and about Eight<br />
hundred dozen of Broomes and some other Comodities<br />
all which were Consigned to Mr Edward Lewes of London merchant and 758 of the<br />
said Barrells of the said ffiggs marked with his marke '''EL'''<br />
were for the said Mr Edward Lewes his owne Account, and were<br />
Laded by his ffactor Mr Johnson, at Pharoa in Portugall<br />
And saith that all the said goods and Lading of the said ship<br />
would have yeilded here in England twelve hundred<br />
pound sterling at least (if the same had come safe to England)<br />
and saith that the foresaid John Hubbard and other<br />
English men and subjects of this Commonwealth, were and are the true<br />
and lawfull owners of the said ship and of her tackle and<br />
furniture, and saith shee was at the time of her being driven on shore at [?Dunborowe XXX] worth one hundred and fifty<br />
pounds sterling. And further deposeth that the said Mr Lewes<br />
and the owners of the rest of the lading of the said ship<br />
were and are alsoe English Men, and Subjects of this Common=<br />
weatlth The foresaid Premisses hee deposeth for that hee<br />
went from this Port of London to Pharo, in the said ship<br />
and came from thence in her, and was aboard her<br />
at her said seizure, and was as afroesaid send for<br />
Ostend in her, and was Carried in her to Dunborowe<br />
aforesayd, and there sawe and tooke notice of<br />
the Premisses./
