Transcription [IMAGE FAILED TO LOAD IN SCRIPTO] ''ffrig[IMAGE FAILED TO LOAD IN SCRIPTO] ''ffrigott'' Interrogated whereof hee saith the said Raph Pratt his precontest<br /> was Master, and hee this deponent was his mate of and belonging to the<br /> said shipp, when shee was last at Bristoll, and about seaveb monthes<br /> before and was bound from the said Port of Bristoll (about the middle<br /> of March last) unto this Port of London All which hee deposeth for that<br /> hee this deponent was on board the said shipp when they sett saile from<br /> Bristoll and Masters mate thereof as aforesaid. And further hee saith<br /> hee cannot depose To the second hee saith that Captaine William Thomas and the producent<br /> Mary Shotton were Proprietors and Part Owners of the said shipp, haveing<br /> bought the same of those that belonged to the Prize office, byr cannot declare<br /> what particular part the said producent hath therein, And this hee deposeth<br /> for that hee and the said Master Raph Pratt went with the said Captaine<br /> Thomas to the producent, who ordered them to doe as hee the said<br /> Captaine Thomas directed which did [XXXX] this deponent to take notice of and knowe<br /> that she was Part Owner thereof And further hee cannot depose./ To the third hee saith that the said shipp upon her proceeding from Bristoll to<br /> London as aforesaid, was taken surprized and seised by a Jersey man of<br /> warr under the Comand of Captaine John dan, on or about the Eleventh<br /> day of Aprill last past off the lands end upon the high and open Seas, and<br /> and (sic) did continue and remaine in the power possession and comand of him as<br /> a prize for about three dayes together, and was disposed thereof by his<br /> direction accordingly, And hee further saith that afterwards the said shipp<br /> was rescued and retaken by Captaine Parsons of Absgam and carried<br /> in to Milford haven, and there delivered upp to Justine White the Vice Admirall<br /> thereof All which hee knoweth because hee was on board her when she was<br /> taken and retaken as afore said, And further hee saith hee cannot depose<br /> saveing That hee does not knowe that ever the said Mary Shotton the producent<br /> had ant recompsense or satisfaction for the losse of the said shipp as [XXX]<br /> hee hath deposed./ To the crosse Interrogatories./ [CENTRE HEADING] To the first hee saith that hee cannott tell what particul[?e]r part the<br /> said producent had of and in the said shipp neither can hee Judge of the<br /> worth thereof And further saveing his former depositions to which hee<br /> refereth himself hee saith hee cannot depose./ To the second hee saith that after the said shipp went from Bristoll she<br /> did saile and arrived at Milford Haven, and from thence by reason of contrary winds<br /> putt in to Saint Ives in Cornwall, and after that when they came out from Saint Ives off the Lands<br /> end the said shipp and ladeing was taken as after said unto which<br /> his deposition hee refereth himself and further hee cannot depose./ To the third hee saith the said shipp was taken on or about the 11th<br /> of Aprill last by a Jersey man of warr, out of which hee saith that<br /> all the Companyes cloathes and provisions were taken by the Ennemie which<br /> were reckoned worth 26 pounds sterling And further hee cannot<br /> depose./ John Vi[?e] [SIGNATURE, RH SIDE] ******************************** Upon the said 2d of August Examined upon the said Interrogatories of the behalf of Shotton '''3''' '''John dennis''' of Limehouse in the parish of Stepney Marriner<br /> aged 33 yeares or thereabouts sworne as aforesaid deposth as followeth To [XXXX] aforesaid deposth as followeth To [XXXX]  +
