Transcription goods hee saith the said ship departed frogoods hee saith the said ship departed from Smirna to=<br /> wards Leghorne this deponent goeing allsoe at that tyme<br /> from thense in the said ship and being bound to the same Port<br /> allsoe, and then sawe the said goods abord under the marke of<br /> the said producent as in the margen of the said schedule is expressed<br /> And further hee cannot depose./ To the third article of the said Allegation hee saith and deposeth<br /> That after the said Hoÿah Petro had soe laden the said goods<br /> schedulated abord the said ship the ''Saint Martyn'' at Smirna for<br /> his owne accompt hee did allsoe goe himselfe along with the said<br /> ship with them for Leghorne together with this deponent and did t[hen GUTTER]<br /> take with him the said schedule or bill of ladeing which hee<br /> had and kept in his owne possession whilest hee was abord the<br /> said ship. And saith That as the said ship was in her<br /> direct course for Leghorne with her Lading abord her, she<br /> was mett withall upon the highe Seas by a Squadron of [XXXX Ships GUTTER]<br /> belonging to the Parliament of England under the Command<br /> of the arlate Captaine Hall at which tyme the said producent<br /> together with this deponent and diverse other Armenians with<br /> his and theire goods were abord the said ship. And further<br /> hee cannot depose. To the 4th article of the said Allegation hee saith and deposeth<br /> That the said producent was and is An Armenian by descent<br /> and a Subiect of the King of Persia, and saith hee liveth in the<br /> Cittye of Spahan where this Deponent allsoe dwelleth, And further<br /> saith that the said producent is a merchant who of his knowledge<br /> hath [XXXX] doeth often use to trade betwixt Smirna and Leghorne and at<br /> leghorne doeth often use to traffique with English Merchants betwixt<br /> whom and the Persians there is a free trade as they are Subiects<br /> to the King of Persia and the [XXX]es of the Commonwealth of<br /> England betweene which Persia and State there is Peace<br /> and Amitye. And further hee cannot depose. To the last hee saith That what hee hath predeposed<br /> is true./.
