in on the behalfe of the Claymer
The Clayme of Anthony Rodrigez of Cadiz in Spayne}<br />
for fourteene Potacoes of Tobacchoe and one hundred}<br />
and seaven hydes laden in the Shipp the ''Salvador''}<br />
whereof Christian Cloppenburgh is master taken by}<br />
some shipps in the service of the Comon wealth}
'''Manuell Corea''' of Varinas in the<br />
West India Merchant aged 34 yeares<br />
beinge sworne and examyned deposeth as<br />
followeth.
To the first articel of the said allegation he sayeth and deposeth that in or about the moneth<br />
of October 1652 the producent Anthony Rodriguez being a merchant of Spayne<br />
did lade on board the Shipp the ''Salvador'' arlate lyeinge then att or neere Cadize in<br />
Spayne fowerteene potachoes of Tobaccho and one hundred and seaven hydes<br />
of [?Buas] Cowes and steeres some without any marke and some marked with the<br />
marke in the Margent which goods Christian Cloppenburgh Master and Commander of the said<br />
Shipp did undertake to transport from Cadiz aforesaid and to delivere the same att Oostend<br />
as is arlate for the accompt and adventure of the said producent whoe of this deponents<br />
certayne knowledge did buy the said Tobaccho at [?Taruas] and caused the same to be brought from there<br />
to [?Marachio] where the [?XXXXX] arlate hee sayeth were bought by him<br />
and from thence they were brought and transported in a <br />
Spanish shipp named the ''Noestra Seignora del Rosario'' to Cadiz in Spayne<br />
All which he knoweth for that hee this deponent was present and sawe the<br />
ladeing of the hydes and Tobacchoe predeposed att Marachao afforesaid which goods he alsoe sawe taken out of the said shipp and putt aboard the<br />
