the tyme of seizure together with merchant goods aboard her in tokens<br />
and the goods and merchandizes of this deponent and his shipps Company aboard<br />
her together with the value of her fredome for Zant did amount unto<br />
and were of the cleeare value together allso with this deponents and<br />
others of the shipps Company Journeys home for England, of the summe of<br />
fourteen thousand pounds sterling, And saith that the dammage in the sayd<br />
shipp the ''harry Bonadventure'' cannot be made good for a lesse summe<br />
Over and besides the dishonour and disservice done by the sayd seizure to<br />
this Commonwealth which this deponent is not able to value. And further<br />
he cannot depose.
To the 21th he saith. That the losse of the sayd shipps the ''harry Bonadventure''<br />
and allso of the sayd shipp the ''Saint Peter'' and all their respective Ladings<br />
was occasioned by the fraud Contrivance violence and injurious practises<br />
of the sayd Governors of Messina and Trapany . And saith he verily<br />
beleiveth that in case he this deponent had not bene abused and wronged<br />
att Messina as hee was nor had had his ffalenca and men there taken from<br />
him and deteyned as they were, Or in case the sayd Governor of<br />
TRapany had not betrayed him as he did, or had protected him this deponent<br />
and his shipps as he might, and ought to have done according to his<br />
promise and the freindshipp betwixt this Commonwealth and his master<br />
the King of Spayne, the sayd shipps the ''harry Bonadventure'' and<br />
the sayd prize the ''Saint Peter'' and their respective Ladings might and<br />
?should have bene, as they were, taken by the dutch nor lost to the<br />
