or thereabouts a witnes sworne and examined<br />
deposeth and saith as followeth. videlicet.
To the first and second Articles of the sayd Allegation This deponent saith<br />
that the arlate Paulus Cobrisse was and is a fflandrian borne and a<br />
merchant of Bridges, and there hath lived for twenty yeares and<br />
upwards and indeed by common repute for all his tyme, and is a subiect<br />
of the King of Spaine and a merchant of good ranke and account<br />
and so reputed, And for these 8 yeares now past of this deponents<br />
knowledge hath driven a constant trade in merchandizeing betwixt<br />
fflanders Cadiz, Saint Lucar and other places in Spaine, and likewise<br />
to the Indies, and hath had his Agents and Correspondents in the sayd<br />
places respectively to whom he hath sent severall merchanises of great<br />
value and receyved the Returnes thereof from them in money plate<br />
and sylver and other goods. the premisses this deponent knoweth having<br />
bene for the sayd space of eight yeares a Correspondent of the sayd<br />
Pau;us Cobrisse and of his factors in Spaine, and having done their busines<br />
of merchandizeing in Limma and other places of Peru in the West Indies<br />
and otherwise cannot depose.
