To the fourth he saith the said Owners keepe their families att and in<br />
the respective places in holland aforesaid, and the said Cornelius<br />
Mes being the principall Owner made this deponent master of<br />
the sayd shipp, and gave this deponent order for this voyage<br />
by word of mouth and thereby ordered him for ffrance to seeke<br />
freight for Amsterdam, but this deponent finding none accepted<br />
of a freight for havre de Grace, whither the sayd salt was<br />
consigned to a ffrenchman there dwelling who was to pay this<br />
deponent freight for the same by vertue of a Charter party signed<br />
by this deponent at Brouaye, and sent over land to Haver de<br />
Grace for feare of the English shipps. [#]

remembring the name of the sayd Consignee he cannot<br />
depose.
To the fifth he saith his lading is eleven hundred and a quarter<br />
of salt of french measure all for accompt of the ffrench, and<br />
two hogsheads of wyne for this deponents owne accompt which<br />
cost this deponent fifteene guilders per hogshead. the price of the<br />
salt or particular owners he knoweth not.
To the 6th he saith the sayd shipp hath two gunnes, about fifty pound<br />
of powder, six musketts, and other ammunition proportionable<br />
four Cables three anchors one warpe anchor, 2 blind sayle<br />
2 foresayle, two greate sayles. 2 bonne[?tt]s. two [?bezames] and<br />
four topsayles and sufficient furniture which together<br />
with the shipp are in his Judgment worth ten thousand<br />
guilders, the values of all particularly he cannot now specify.<br />
And further there being as he saith noe gold sylver or Jewells<br />
on board the sayd shipp he saith he cannot depose.
To the 7th he saith there was provisions sufficient on board the sayd<br />
shipp att the tyme of her seizure to have carried her and Company<br />
being ten persons to ffrance videlicet to haver de Grace. the<br />
particulars he now remembreth not. And further saving as<br />
aforesaid cannot depose.
To the 8th he saith he signed two Charterpartyes of severall tenors<br />
for the sayd salt att Brouaye one for Amstedam<br />
found on board att the tyme of her seizure<br />
as aforesaid, and the other for haver de Grace sent over land<br />
as aforesaid. And otherwise negatively.
To the 8. and 10th he saith he referreth himselfe to his<br />
foregoing depositions and further cannot depose
