Transcription was made for the delivery of the salt att was made for the delivery of the salt att Haver de Grace and this<br /> deponent threw the same overboard before the seizure in question<br /> was made, and the other was made for fflushing and was on board<br /> att the tyme of seizure and is now in this deponents Custodye.<br /> And lastly saith that his sayd Owners did constitute him Master of the<br /> sayd vessell, and that he undertooke this voyage without any particukar<br /> Instructions from them who gave him as he saith hennerall Order<br /> by word of mouth to take the best ymployment for roffitt that he<br /> could, and that he was to receyve his freight for this voyage att<br /> Haver de Grace of and from the factors of the Grand party there to<br /> whom the salt was consigned to pay four and thirty guilders<br /> per last for one hundred and seven lasts or thereabouts being<br /> the quantity of the sayd salt in [#] [# LH MARGIN]<br /> lasts french measure<br /> or longe measure<br /> Jan baggaert [SIGNATURE, LH MARGIN] the name<br /> of the sayd consignatory or his Countrey, or the price of the sayd<br /> salt he knoweth not.
