Transcription To the 7th he saith that by common fame tTo the 7th he saith that by common fame the sayd ship ''Saint ffrancis''<br /> in her Course for Haver de grace was seized by some of the<br /> shipps of this Commonwealth and so much is notorious. And also<br /> he beleiveth that the sayd goods were then on board her, and came into<br /> the hands of them that made the sayd seizure. And further he<br /> saith he cannot depose. To the 8th article of the sayd allegation and to the Accompt and extracts of<br /> letters thereto annexed and now shewne him he saith that the<br /> sayd ffrancis Tryon since the moneth of Aprill last past 1654 and<br /> before any newes of the seizure of the sayd ship received severall<br /> letters from the sayd Mottet of Marsellys giving advise of the ladeing<br /> of the sayd goods and that the sayd accompt came in one of these<br /> letters, and that the extracts now showne him in one sheet of paper were and are true<br /> and faithfull extracts of the sayd letters received from the sayd Mottet<br /> and Jordayne, and were by this deponent compared with the originall<br /> letters themselves all which he came to know and take notice of being<br /> the producents Apprentice as aforesayd and doeing his business. And he<br /> beleiveth that the Contnts of the sayd Accompt letters and extracts were<br /> and are true and so had and done as therein is conteyned. And<br /> further cannot depose. saving that the extracts now shewne him written [#] [# LH MARGIN]<br /> upon two single halfe<br /> sheets are two extracts<br /> of the sayd producents<br /> letters one sent to the<br /> sayd Mottet, and the other<br /> to the sayd Nys and Molines<br /> with an Extract of the<br /> sayd Nys and Molynes answer<br /> Robt. Pilkington [SIGNATURE, LH MARGIN] To the ninth article he saith the sayd goods wares and merchandizes<br /> were and are really and truly for the accompt of the sayd<br /> ffrancis Tryon, and are the effects of goods of his in the hands<br /> of his forementioned factors and Correspondents Isaac [?XXXX]<br /> John Nys of Legorne, and the sayd Mottet of Marsellys. which<br /> he knoweth being servant to the sayd Tryon, and thereby privie<br /> to his dealings and trade as before he hath declared, And<br /> otherwise he cannot depose, saving that the sayd ffrancis<br /> Tryon did and doth runn the sole hazard, and adventure of the<br /> sayd goods which he deposeth for the reasons aforesayd. To the Crosse Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING] To the 1. Interrogatorie he saith, he never did belong to the sayd ship ''Saint ffrancis''<br /> and that he was borne att [?Delby] in the County of Leicester<br /> and for twelve yeares last hath [?lived GUTTER]<br /> in London and is the producents servant as aforesayd. And otherwise<br /> negatively. To the 2. he saith the sayd ffrancis Tryon by common fame was borne<br /> att Norwich. and hath kept his house and family in London as now he does<br /> for theis nyne yeares past of this Rendents knowledge.ne yeares past of this Rendents knowledge.  +
