and yeare abovesaid before the right Worshippfull William<br />

Court of Admiraltie of England saith and deposeth<br />
by vertue of his oath as followeth videlicet./
To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth, That hee this examinate well<br />
knoweth the shipp the ''fortune'' of Carick Vergus interrate, whereof the interrate<br />
Arthur Crowther was Master under God, and did so knowe her when shee<br />
was last at Nevis or Mevis one of the Leeward Islands in the West Indies<br />
in or about the moneth of June <u>1654.</u> last past, which was the last time<br />
shee was there and was thence bound for this Port of London, This deponent<br />
bring then Steward and keeper of the accompts of and aboard the said shipp<br />
