as this deponent lately understood. And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the first negatively, saying hee doth not know the two shipps interrogated.
To the second hee saith hee hath noe personall knowledge of the said docter<br />
ffrancisco Benzi, but hath longe understood that the said docter hath lived<br />
longe at Venice, And otherwise hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid.
To the third fourth fifth sixth and seaventh hee referreth himselfe to<br />
his foregoeing deposition, and otherwise cannot depose, saying hee doth not<br />
knowe the said two shipps or the masters thereof or either of them.
To the Interrogatories in the second place hee cannot answer saving as<br />
aforesaid.

upon certaine Interrogatories ministred on the behalfe<br />
of the said Anne Tatnell deposeth as<br />
followeth/
To the first Interrogatorie hee saith and deposeth that hee well knew<br />
and was Steward of the said shipp the ''ffrancis'' interrogated whereof William<br />
knowles was commander, at such time as shee was last at Palma one of the<br />
Canarie Islands; and saith shee departed (as the said master said and as the<br />
common opinion and report was and went amongest the shipps company) for<br />
the port of Southampton. there to dischardge some of her goods and then<br />
to goe with the rest to London; and saith that the said voyage before such<br />
her departure from Palma shee there and at Teneriff tooke in her<br />
lading of goods of a considerable valew, namely sugars, hides, and ginger<br />
at Palma and at Teneriff Canarie wines and Berillia, amounting<br />
to her whole lading, shee being of betweene 140 and 160 tonnes burthen<br />
or thereabouts, but the particular quantities of valews of the said<br />
respective goods or of all in grosse hee saith hee cannot estimate. And<br />
saith that the common speach and saying of the said shipps company and<br />
officers was that a quarter part of the said shipp was belonging to the<br />
interrogated ffrancis Tatnell, And otherwise hee cannot depose.
