advice by Letters from the sayd Bertram de Baud<br />
and Mathew de La ffitt his the sayd de Apatris Agents<br />
or ffactors in Roane that they had in their hands and<br />
possession for the proper use and Account of the sayd<br />
Lopez de Apatris Eight hundred weight of Redd wooll<br />
or wooll called commonly Wooll of Vic[?unia] and other goods And he saith that<br />
every pound weight of such wooll is worth her in England<br />
twenty shillings And further he cannot depose.
To the fourth article of the said allegation he deposeth and saith<br />
That he this deponent did receive Letters of advice (about the moneth<br />
of Aprill last past) from the sayd de Baud and De La ffitt<br />
acknowledging therby that the sayd eight hundred weight<br />
of redd woolls were in their hands, ad by the said Letters<br />
they did desire the advice and directions of him the deponent<br />
concerning the selling and disposing of them, and that by<br />
their sayd Letters they the said De Baud and de La ffitt<br />
did advise him this deponent that they did thinke it fitt<br />
to sell the said woolls and with the proceed thereof to buy<br />
Linnens and to shipp the same for Cadiz for the accompt<br />
of him the sayd Lopez de Apatris And he further deposeth<br />
and saith that he this deponent did shew the said Letters he<br />
soe received unto Nicholas Vlague and Thomas Guzman merchants<br />
before such time as the sayd Linnens were bought and<br />
shippt for the accompt of the said Lopez de Apatris, and<br />
alsoe that after the said Linnens were shipt for his Account<br />
that he the deponent did (before such time as<br />
the shipp the ''hare in the feild'' was taken) shew unto the<br />
sayd Blague and Guzman the bills of Lading for the<br />
said Linnens and the Accompts concerning the Lading of<br />
the same, And further he cannot depose
To the fifth article he deposeth and saith That he the deponent<br />
did returne answeare unto the Letters by him received from the<br />
sayd De Baud and De La ffitt, and that in and by his answeare<br />
unto their said Letters he did approve of what their advise<br />
was concerning the sale of the said woolls and buying with the<br />
proceed therof Linnens for the account of the sayd de Apatris<br />
but with submission unto any other directions that he the sayd<br />
de Apatris showld give and order concerning the said wool<br />
and their proceed And further he cannot depose.
To the sixth article he deposeth and saith That the sayd Bertram<br />
de Baud and Mathew de La ffitt did after such time as this<br />
deponent had by answeare unto their Letters from Roane<br />
approve their advice of selling the said woolls and other<br />
goods of the arlate Lopez de Apatris, and buyinh and shipping<br />
for Cadiz for his Accompt Linnens, send advise<br />
unto this deponent (long before she departed from Roane<br />
that they had bought nine bales of Linnen with the proceed<br />
of the said woolls and other goods for the use and<br />
accompt of the said Lopez de Apatris, and alsoe did<br />
by their said Letters advise this deponent of the prices of the<br />
said Linnens, And further he cannot depose.
