Transcription To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING] To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING] To the first hee saith hee this deponent is a native of Rotterdam<br /> and hath lived in London about seaventeene yeares, and otherwise negatively<br /> saying hee was not in the voyage nor knoweth ought thereof. To the second hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition and cannot otherwise<br /> depose. To the third fourth and 5th hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid, not<br /> being in the voyage nor knowing ought thereof. To the first and second articles of the said allegation hee saith and deposeth<br /> that after the seizing and bringing of the said shipp the ''Liesde'' with her lading<br /> into Plimouth, this deponent by letters into holland to Amsterdam hath<br /> advised his owners there dwelling thereof, and by his said letters<br /> desiring to be advertised from them whether all such as had laden goods<br /> aboard him were subiects of the States General of the United<br /> Netherlands, they have answered and advised him that all such<br /> merchants as had goods aboard the said shipp were subiects<br /> of the said States, saving one that was an Irishman, and that<br /> all the goods aboard this deponents said shipp were free goods saving<br /> two packs, but this deponent cannot say that there are two packs<br /> of unfree goods aboard the said shipp. And otherwise hee cannot<br /> depose, saying hee doth not knowe any of the producents, and saving<br /> hee referreth himselfe to his bills of lading.
