Transcription To the 8th hee saith that when and assooneTo the 8th hee saith that when and assoone as the said shipp was<br /> dispatched and dischardged at Virginia as aforesaid shee departed and<br /> set saile for London and here safely arived, and here delivered<br /> out to the use of the said Mr Andrewes all such goods and merchandizes<br /> as were at Virginia taken in of and from his factors, and the said<br /> shipp was here dischardged of and from the same the 23th of August<br /> 1653, which hee knoweth being still one of her company and<br /> helping to deliver the said goods. To the nineth hee saith that the said shipp the said voyage was<br /> (and still is) of the burthen of 156 tonnes and a halfe, and from<br /> fiall to New England could conveniently have carried the said voyage<br /> 151 tonnes and a halfe of wine (over and besides her tackle<br /> furniture apparell and provisions and the masters five tonnes)<br /> and would have caried the same in case the said Andrewes his factor<br /> would have or had furnished the same, and that shee went dead<br /> freighted at least twenty six tonnes and a halfe (of the<br /> said Mr Andrewes his tonnage) from fiall to New England. And<br /> hee yeeldeth a reason of his knowledge as aforesaid. To the eleaventh hee saith hee cannot depose. Upon the rest hee is not examined by direction of the partie producent. To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING] To the first hee cometh at the request of the master<br /> Roger Younge to testifie the truth in this cause, and saith that<br /> all his wages are paid him a good space since, hee having bin a<br /> voyage at sea since hee received the same. And otherwise hee<br /> referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition. To the second hee referreth himselfe to the Charterpartie<br /> aforesaid and cannot otherwise depose. To the third hee saith that a shipp whereof Captaine husbands was<br /> commannder was at ffiall by meanes of a storme forced to cut her<br /> masts by the board, but the ''Edward'' rode fast and safely.
