who was in the ''Saint Mary'' when shee was rescued by the ''Saphire''<br />
speake to the effect arlate, but this deponent for his part was<br />
carried in Collarts frigot and landed at Charrant. And otherwise<br />
hee cannot depose.
To the 10th hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition and<br />
saith hee hath seene the said shipp ''Saint Mary da Guardalupa'' which was seized as<br />
aforesaid and which is here in question lately<br />
lying in the River of Thames neere London, and well knoweth her to be the same.
To the 11th hee saith the said Balthazar and John Coymans<br />
were and are merchants and Inhabitants of Amsterdam and<br />
subiects of the States of the United Netherland Provinces and<br />
keepe houses and families in Amsterdam and soe have done<br />
many yeares, and for such they were and are commonly accompted,<br />
And otherwise hee cannot depose.

To the first hee saith hee was borne at Embden. and hath lived<br />
in [?harma] theise 26 yeares. amd hath bin married there thise<br />
14 yeares last or thereabouts, And saith hee hath noe part<br />
in the shipp, but shee is about 700 gilders debter to him in regard<br />
of soe much cost and charges bestowed upon her about repairing<br />
her after hurts that shee had received there by storme, and for<br />
victualling and necessaries. And that hee had in her<br />
at the time of her seizure by the English 5 dozen of Tortoise<br />
shells for his owne accompt, And otherwise negatively saving<br />
his foregoeing deposition.
To the second hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition<br />
where hee hath satisfied the same. And otherwise hee cannot<br />
depose./.
To the third and fourth hee saith hee hath knowne the said shipp the<br />
''Saint Mary'' for three yeares last, which hee saith was first called the<br />
''Three Storkes'', but the said Coymans buying her of Paul<br />
Collas her former skipper, and designing her for the Canaries<br />
upon the foresaid voyage, they changed her name to the name of ''Saint''<br />
''Mary da Guardalupa'', as being a name more acceptable amongst<br />
the Spaniards. And saith shee is hollands built, and that hee was<br />
not present at their buying her. nor hath seene the bill of sale, nor any money paid for her,<br />
And otherwise hee cannot depose, saving as aforesaid.
To the fifth hee saith hee was not present at the buying of the<br />
lading that was in the said shipp when shee was seized, only<br />
hee himselfe bought his said Tortoise shells, And otherwise hee<br />
cannot depose saving as aforesaid.
