Transcription To the tenth hee saith that the shipp the To the tenth hee saith that the shipp the ''Saint Mary de Garda lupa'' aforesaid<br /> soe set out by the said Coymans from Amsterdam, and afterwards taken<br /> by the said Collart, and after that taking by the ''Saphire'' and carried into<br /> Plimouth and whereabout hee is nowe examined was and is one and<br /> the same shipp, for hee saith that shee being since brought about from<br /> Plimouth into the River of Thames, hee this deponent on friday last sawe<br /> her and was aboard her in the said River, and well knew her to be the<br /> same. And otherwise hee cannot depose. To the 11th hee saith that the said Baltazar and John Coymans were and<br /> are merchants and inhabitants of Amsterdam, and subiects of the<br /> States of the United Netherland Provinces, and housekeepers in Amsterdam<br /> and soe have bin for many yeeres, And othewise hee cannot depose. To the Interrogatories. [CENTRE HEADING] To the first hee saith hee was borne and hath alwaies dwelt at<br /> [?Purmarent] neere Amsterdam, and otherwise negatively saving as<br /> aforesaid. To the second hee saith hee knoweth the said Baltazar and John Coymans<br /> to be natives of Amsterdam, where hee saith hee k[?knowne] them living<br /> about 20 yeares last, And otherwise hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing<br /> deposition. To the third and 4 hee saith hee hath knowne the said shipp not longer then thirteene<br /> monethes last, during which space hee hath served in her, till the said<br /> seizure, and that about such time as this deponent soe came first<br /> aboard her at Amsterdam, namely about 13 monethes since the said<br /> Coymans bought her, as this deponent there understood, but this<br /> deponent was not present nor sawe any money paid nor any writing<br /> made thereof, And otherwise hee cannot answer saving as aforesaid<br /> saving the said shipp is hollands built. To the fifth and 6 hee saith hee did not see the goods in question bought or paid<br /> for, but for the factors name that laded them hee saith it was one<br /> [?Victore] (as hee remembreth the same) who was hee taketh it is a Spaniard,<br /> And otherwise saving as aforesaid hee cannot answer. To the 7th and 8 hee saith that hee did not see the said goods (sent outwards<br /> by the said Coymans) in their house or custodie, but sawe them sent<br /> aboard as theirs and in their names. And otherwise hee cannot answer<br /> saving as aforesaid. To the nineth negatively. To the tenth hee referreth himselfe to his foregoeing deposition, and otherwise<br /> hee cannot depose. To the 11th hee saith that there were fourteene or fifteene of Callarts<br /> men aboard the ''Mary'' continually from his first seizing of her to the<br /> time of her taking by the ''Saphire'', and but seaven of the ''Maries'' owne<br /> men, who were alwaies under the power of the said Callarts men To the 13 hee cannot depose.
