Transcription To the fourth Interrogatory he answereth aTo the fourth Interrogatory he answereth and deposeth that there<br /> were some Pilchards aboard the Carvell interrate at the<br /> time of her seizure and some small wares as Beeds<br /> glasses and such things for the account of the Master And<br /> further he cannot depose. To the fifth Interrogatory he deposeth that the Owners of the<br /> said Carvell and the interrate Richard Chappell sustayned<br /> great losse and damages by the seizure of the said<br /> Carvell, but to what certaine value he saith he knoweth not<br /> And otherwise cannot depose. To the 2d interrogatory he deposeth that he the deponent<br /> being Chirurgeon of the said shipp doth very well<br /> knowe that the said shipp was about the beginning of<br /> the yeare 1650 she then being at Lisbone, seized<br /> upon by order of the king of Portugall, and the interrate<br /> George Chappell and all the shipps Company turnd<br /> out of her and imprisoned, and that the said shipp<br /> was made a man of warr, and imployed in the<br /> said kings service against the ffleet of this Commonwealth<br /> for some monthes (but certainly he cannot remember how many monthes)<br /> and that there was not any satisfaction made by the<br /> king of Portugall for the said shipps service And<br /> further he cannot depose.
