and deposeth that hee this deponent is well acquainted with<br /> the hand writing of Monsieur de Colbrant Register of the<br /> King of Spaines Admiralty in fflanders and that this deponent<br /> having of late yeeres droven a trade as a merchant betweene<br /> fflanders and this Port, hath seene severall Instruments and<br /> Dispatches subscribed by the said Colbrant, and thereby<br /> knoweth the said first schedule annexed to be subscribed<br /> with the said de Colbrants owne hand, and otherwise<br /> hee cannot depose saving hee well knoweth the ship the<br /> ''Mayflower''
